About "The Spiral Lane" (January 2011)

On one of my birthdays many years ago, my brother gave me an eisel and a blank canvas.
Not having any paints or brushes, I decided to use pencil to draw something that I might
one day paint.  I have always had a vision of a DNA helix serving as a set of intertwining stairways.  This was my first attempt at realizing that image.

Because I couldn't decide what colours to use when I finally got ready to paint "The Spiral
Lane," I used Adobe Photoshop to try out a few options.  It is amazing what one can do with
some time, a little imagination, and a whole bunch of electrons!
